There are many superstitions about graveyards and death, but some of them seem to be more odd than others. There are even superstitions about dead bodies, which seems weird to me because I don't want to be around a dead body long enough to make a superstition about it. Anyway, here are some I found.
  • If you take too long to bury the dead, they will find someone to take with them.
  • It’s been said never to cry on a dead person because if the tears fall on them, it makes it harder for the spirit to leave this world.
  • Make sure windows and doors are open after a person died to ensure their spirit a speedy journey to the other side.
  • Placing a cross made of iron on a burial site will keep the spirit of a person in their grave.
  • If you see a funeral procession go by and count the cars, you’ve just counted the number of weeks you have left.

So don't count the number of cars you see go by, no matter how bad you want to.
